Dr. Mishra specializes in the arthroscopic surgical treatment of knee and shoulder disorders such as rotator cuff tears and anterior cruciate ligament tears. He is an adjunct clinical assistant professor of orthopaedic surgery at Stanford Medicine and has treated athletes from all levels of expertise from high school to professional and Olympians.
Dr. Mishra's primary area of research interest is in the biologic treatment of tendon disorders. He is presently conducting a study on the efficacy of platelet rich plasma for chronic severe tennis elbow. He has presented this research at regional, national and international meetings. He has also published scientific articles and book chapters about sports medicine and orthopaedic surgery. Presently, he serves as an Instructional Course Lecturer for the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery and is a physician with the PGA. He has also treated athletes from the San Francisco 49ers, the San Francisco Giants and many Olympic level competitors. Finally, Dr. Mishra has served as one of the physicians for the US Decathlon team. He is an avid golfer, skier and triathlon participant.
